Manka Maria Gospodar	Information from Adeline Puccini:         Hyacinth "Jacek" Kulig family. --  Hyacinth, born to John Kulig and Julia Przybilla in 1849 (Popielow, Poland), died August 2, 1940 at age 91 in Independence, WI.  Married Suzanna Woychik. --  Suzanna Woychik, born to Frank Woychik and Anna Lyga in 1857, died January 27,1947 at 92 in Independence, WI.   Children in photo:           -- John Kulig (Attorney), born December 30, 1874, died 1960.         -- Gertrude, born November 5, 1889 (?)         --Paul, born December 11, 1880 (?)         -- Albert, born April 16, 1886 (?)  <Note: above order does not match and ages do not seem to match -- Gertrude would have to be the youngest, but that is not what is in this photo.>         Note:  The last three dates are taken from SS. Peter & Paul church records.  Also,  you may recall the lovely stained glass windows on opposite sides of the church donated by Hyacinth and Suzanna Kulig.

I am able to identify the girl in her Communion dress standing next to a seatee. She has a bible in her left hand and a candle in her right hand. Her name is Dorothy (Dora) Gospodar. This picture was taken at her Confirmation at age 13 in 1898. She was born  January 25, 1885 in T. Muntz (Jamestown) ,Stutsman County, North Dakota. She married my grandfather, John Thomas Skroch (this is his 2nd wife-first wife died young) on July 4, 1904 in Independence, Trempealeau County, WI at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church. She died on January 24, 1948 and is buried in SS Peter & Paul Cemetery in Independence. John Thomas Skroch’s parents were Mathias (Matthew) (Maciej) Skroch and his mother was Anna Niwa (Niva). My father was Joseph Phillip Skroch-lived in Arcadia, WI Mary Flaherty
Identified by Verna Kulig Halama via her daughter Joan Murphy: Adults: Jacob & Mary (Skroch) Kulig Children: Louis Kulig (back row) Joseph, Agatha, William, Rose/Mary From Joan Murphy: "The photo taken in Independence, Wisconsin with the family of 5 children. My mother claims she also saw this same photo about a year ago at her brother's house. My mother knew all the people. It is the Jacob and Mary (Skroch) Kulig family. Boy behind is Louis Kulig, little boy on left is Joseph Kulig, little girl on Jacob's lap is Agatha Kulig (she later married a Maule), the baby in the mother's arms is William Kulig (my grandfather), and the girl standing on the right is Rose who became a nun. (Her name is either Rose or Mary, I need to check that). William Kulig was born in June of 1894 so that dates that photo definitely in 1894 because of the age of the baby."
