My mother (Angeline) remembers Mary Skroch, her grandmother, talking about this with Angeline Skroch, her mother and Angeline often spoke of how her daughters could walk down the street with their heads held high, because they were originally royalty. There is no record of any of this written down, of course, that I have. However, I do remember my grandmother Angie, getting on my case for not sitting up straight and talking about how I should be proud because of where I came from and that once upon a time we were royalty.

If this is true, it has been passed down through word of mouth only and means that some of our family actually migrated from the now known as Belarus or Lithuanian area of Poland/Russia to the Upper Silesian area. ...
